Ideal for low-risk environments such as offices, shops, and educational settings, the course meets Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

  • The Role and Responsibilities of a First Aider
    Understand the legal duties, communication skills, reporting procedures, and infection prevention methods expected of first aiders.
  • Assessing an Incident
    Learn how to conduct a primary and secondary survey of the scene, prioritise casualties, and take control during emergencies.
  • Unresponsive Casualty (Breathing)
    Practice the correct steps to place an unconscious but breathing casualty into the recovery position while ensuring airway safety.
  • CPR and AED Use
    Hands-on training in adult
    CPR (30:2 compression: breath ratio)
    and safe operation of an Automated External Defibrillator.
  • Choking
    Techniques to recognise and respond to partial and full airway obstructions using back blows and abdominal thrusts.
  • Wounds and Bleeding
    Practical responses to minor and severe external bleeding, including the use of dressings and elevation.
  • Shock and Minor Injuries
    Learn how to identify symptoms of shock, administer first aid, and treat cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, and scalds.
